LeAndre St. Pierre was selected with the ninth overall pick in the season 46 VHL entry draft by the Toronto Legion and their GM Max Molholt. After some rumors that Calgary would trade up to select St. Pierre, he ends up going to the team who originally contacted him and showed the most interest. LeAndre always thought he would probably end up going to Toronto, but that thought of a trade to Calgary gave him reason to believe otherwise. While he still needs a year to get stronger and quicker, St. Pierre might find himself becoming one of the best young players in the VHL next season. He will spend his time in the VHLM this season with the Ottawa Lynx and will most likely play on their first line. St. Pierre expects to be one of the top point scorers in the league and bring that momentum into the VHL next season.
