THE SOUTH AFRICAN MAKES HIS RETURN TO SWITZERLAND

DAVOS, SWITZERLAND -- After 3 seasons away from the Davos franchise, Bismarck Koenig has made his return.  In his announcement to the league, Koenig stated, "After some discussions with Coach Reilly, I have have accepted their offer. I owe [Davos] another season."  There was some intense media scrutiny around the time Koenig was traded away from HC Davos three years ago, but all of that is behind the two parties.

"We're thrilled to have a game changer like Koenig on the team," Reilly said in a pre-season press conference.  "He adds another dimension to our team.  We haven't had a true offensive genius like him in quite some time. The signing made a lot of sense for us on every level."

HC Davos heads into the season with just 1.5M remaining on their salary cap restrictions.  It's unclear whether Davos will acquire a rental toward the trade deadline or fill out their roster with younger players.  Either way, the Dynamo are looking good for S46.
