Admin Victor 11,009 Posted November 23, 2015 Admin Share Posted November 23, 2015 The results are in! As has become the norm, the parts A of the questions were unique to each number while part B was the same for all. Parts A: 1. How many defensemen have been named MVP? (Credit to Hybrid)ANSWER: Just the two, Tomas Jenskovic in distant S14 and Patrick Bergqvist in S20, both representing Davos. By far the position with the least Scotty Campbell Trophies. 2. What player from the S15 draft class earned the most total points? (Credit to Dmoushey_13ANSWER: The first overall pick, Max Kroenenburg, forever on the fringes of the Hall of Fame, comfortably beat second overall, the aforementioned Bergqvist with 717 points to 583 and no one else fulfilled their pre-draft potential. 3. In what season was the highest +/- record set? (Credit to NUCK)ANSWER: All the way back in Season 5, as Hall of Famer Alex McNeil showed his two-way talent on the most ridiculously attacking team ever in the Seattle Bears. 4. Who was the first overall selection in the first ever Super Cup? (Credit to Velevra)ANSWER: A no-brainer at the time, it being S35 and all, Ethan Osborne, who would be league MVP the following season. Part B: Which non-expansion franchise was the last to win the Continental Cup and what season did they finally do it in?ANSWER: Excluding Cologne and Quebec or alternatively, the eighth team to win the championship was New York who waited 14 seasons to get it. They then waited until S32 to win a second. 1 capped TPE goes to: AhmaCowboyinAmericaDollarAndADreamHybridJardyB10jRuutuPhilsterlingStevenStamkos91StreetlightYEAH! as well as 1 uncapped TPE for providing questions to: HybridDmoushey_13NUCKVelevra Week 2 thread will be up tomorrow night but you can start sending numbers 1 to 4 now, though I won't have questions ready until later.
