General Manager Applications Off To Great Start

Perhaps influenced by the move made by administrators to award TPE to World Cup General Managers, there has already been a great amount of interest in the Season 46 World Cup General Manager jobs. To this point, there have already been eight applicants for the role of General Manager, but perhaps even better news is that we already have at least one applicant for each of the countries. There's a wide variety of applicants as well, from the experienced Boubabi, who would be having his fourth consecutive stint as a World Cup General Manager if he was selected, to relatively new recruits like Daniel and TheNextGreatOne. If you're also interested in joining up, it's not too late to register your interest! Koenig To Make Jump To Team World?

HC Davos Dynamo center Bismarck Koenig played a huge part in the success of Team Western Europe in the Season 43 World Cup, however the reigning champions may end up without his services for the upcoming tournament. Koenig, who was raised in Germany, has dual nationality due to his birth in South Africa, which falls under the Team World banner, which has led to discussions between the World Cup Commissioner and the VHL Commissioners as to whether Koenig will be allowed to make the move between countries. Regardless of whether Koenig will be able to move for this tournament or not though, any other players looking at potentially moving between countries will surely look forward to the Season 47 Pre-Season announcements which may help them do just that.

Joel Jarvi Likely To Represent Team Scandinavia Prior To First VHL Appearance

Future Cologne Express franchise player Joel Jarvi isn't set to enter the VHL until Season 47, but the Ottawa Lynx Defensemen could find himself up against VHL players earlier than that as he looks nailed on to be a part of Team Scandinavia for the Season 46 World Cup. Jarvi is currently fourth for Team Scandinavia defensemen in TPE and TPA, but considering one of those players above him is the inactive and retiring Lukas Nykvist, you have to imagine that Team Scandinavia already have Jarvi's name written on the team sheet.
