Da Trifecta 1,899
Don't Ask, Don't Tell So much has been going on in the short career of Olivia Diamond it all seems like a blur the past two seasons. With both of them being played in the minors, it has been something less memorable than thought of originally. Of course it's hard to really have success early on when you are limited with the amount of practice hours you can apply to your player. When talking directly about Olivia's attributes, she isn't necessarily more skilled in one specific area compared to another. She is hoping to change this around once she gets into the VHL so she can make a difference almost immediately. She has been talking about wanting to chase the rookie of the year award since her agent has one under his belt and missed out on another. With the opportunity to move to forward coming up real soon, she has talked with the soon to be new GM and has discussed where she wants to move to. She has explained what she would like to do and it seems that he is all for the move. he even hinted at giving the bonus to make the position change happen. This is the best news that Olivia has received in a long time. She has been so down about her tumultuous season and playoffs, that this actually gives her something to look forward to. This should also spark more interest with her agent and he should be able to get her involved in a lot more things now. This also is really good news for the New York Americans as they will need all the help they can get at being able to compete these next few seasons. If Olivia can break onto the scene better than she predicts, this could turn out to be a long career for her. It might even be the longest career for a player that the Da Trifecta player agency has ever represented. Of course he is hoping that she has lots and lots of success not only with the switch but with the Americans. Rumor has it that she is willing to extend her contract as soon as possible and she wants to be with this team a few more seasons. We aren't sure of the details or what will happen, but as it stands right now her commitment to this team is very opaque. Olivia wants to break the precedent of early retirements and she wants to be the first to serve out a full eight season career. She has already notched one season of her career under her belt and she is willing to go the distance for the other seven. This is going to be a big accomplishment. She may go down as someone that lots of people remember, or she could go down as a failure after the switch. Will she be remembered or will she be just another forgotten face? Only time will tell. We should come back and revisit this question in about 3-4 more seasons and see how her career is going then.
