It's been a long off-season for Seattle second year defenseman Jeff Hamilton, but an off-season that has been excellent for the team thus far. In addition to a number of rookies joining the team after an extra year of seasoning in the VHLM, the Bears also picked up star forward Kris Klose via free agency and promising young goalie Sandro Clegane via trade with Cologne. Hamilton has worked hard to improve over the past months and will be seeking to post much better numbers.

"I expect this will be a fun season in Seattle. We've added some stellar locker-room guys and some nice talented players to the roster. We should make a huge jump from where we were last season. I hope to be a strong contender for the Funk Trophy if my work pays off in results," Hamilton said.
