With those 80 shots, I have managed to score 8 goals. That is in 17 games with lot´s of powerplay time. Not the best start for my season. 10 for shot percentage is not massively bad, but at the same time, it´s not the best either. It´s average.  I have also managed to collect six  assist so far in the season. 17 games, 8+6 = 14.  Once again, not too badly, but I should have more points. I mean, I started the season in the first line! Some time ago  I was moved back to second line where I managed to play some good games. 

 

I have been quite streaky ever since I joined the VHL. Sometimes I just score loads of goals and everything that I do ends up showing up on the score board, but then at the same time, sometimes no matter what I do, I just cant score and my passes end up hitting skates and sticks.  

 

I guess with more experienced I get with everything, I manage to play more consistently. It´s true what they say, great players manage to play on the high level night in and night out. I´m not there yet, especially when it comes down to actually scoring goals or creating them. I have always been quite solid on my own end. The biggest thing to improve is the puck skills. If you are playing on the powerplay, everybody is expecting you to produce. That is just the way it is. The way game is played these days, powerplays are quite often that something that make the difference in tight games. Already have made serious improvements on my shooting lately, I can feel my shot being more heavy and accurate. I just need to keep on going and the results will be there. Hopefully at least.

 

 

 

Maybe it´s not so much about getting experienced in playing the game, but more about focusing on the right things and just having fun! It´s quite easy to try too hard and try to make things happen. When you are trying too hard, everything feels hard. I have noticed that in myself.  

 

Even though the start has not been that great for me on a personal level, the team is playing really well!  Nine wins in row!  To be fair,  I would much rather be on a nine game winning streak than have loads of points.  Perhaps this season is the one when I actually break all my scoring records? If I manage to keep a steady pace, I´m really close at the end of season. Team is full of great players who are playing well together! Does not get much better than that. I´m just going to go out there and enjoy playing!
