Lynx Part Ways with Assistant General Manger Austin Gow

It’s been said countless times that imitation is the highest form of flattery. In this case, the Yukon Rush organization is hoping that their recent hire for their general manager can replicate the success he had in Ottawa. After being hired as General Manager of the Ottawa Lynx in Season 33, one of the first moves Jim Gow made was hiring his younger brother as Assistant General Manager. Together, the two siblings have put together a roster in Season 35 that is well on its way to winning Ottawa’s first Founder’s Cup since Season 23. During his time with Ottawa, Austin’s name has come up in multiple GM searches for multiple VHLM franchises, but until yesterday, Austin remained with the Lynx.

Effective at the end of Season 35, the Ottawa Lynx will mutually terminate the remainder of Austin’s contract with the organization due to his acceptance of the General Manager position of the Yukon Rush. While the Lynx congratulate him on landing the job, they cannot wish him success in his future endeavors, as the two sides compete in the same conference in the VHLM.
