Tylar 219 Posted May 18, 2016 Share Posted May 18, 2016 In S47 Marcel Faux put up 59 points in 72 games with 31 of those points being goals. Although the Titans had amazing players in Koenig, Harumpf and Koponen leading the way, Marcel was more of a secondary piece. Faux’s defensive awareness or lack thereof was exposed with his plus 5 rating which compared to his teammates was extremely low. In S48 Marcel Faux scored 55 goals and 51 assists for 106 points which led the Helsinki Titans. He was also third overall in total scoring in the league. This amazing performance got him noticed for the Funk Trophy which is for the Most Improved Player award. At the VHL Awards Faux ended up taking it home as he almost doubled his point total from just one season before. It was his first individual award in the VHL after winning scoring titles and MVP honours in the VHLM. His S48 was pretty incredible and might be the top individual moment of his career as it is dwindling. With the Titans rebuilding what will happen this upcoming season? Will Faux be able to put up similar numbers or will he become a trade chip come trade deadline? Should be an interesting story to follow.
