After stepping down as Moscow Red Wolves General Manager earlier this year, Shawn Howard is kind of missing the role as GM. Maybe he stepped down and he wasn't ready too. Maybe he thought he didn't have the time but now all of a sudden time has been made available. Howard did a pretty good job during half his reign, reaching the finals 2 straight seasons and winning the Founders Cup in his very first season. The next two however were not as good as they finished dead last 2 years in a row and figure to finish last again. That is 2 years of winning and 3 years of losing, so is it really worth it to trade picks to try and win if you have 2 good years followed by 3 bad ones? It figures that maybe you should keep draft picks and build from within but that can only take you so far. There are teams who are always selling but very rarely does a team win when they don't make a few trades. Maybe in my next go round I will try to compete by just drafting no trading away picks.
