Molholt 2,185
Max Molholt just completed the best individual season of his career thus far. His team finished with 59 wins and 122 points, which are both in the Top 10 all-time in VHL history. They accomplished this with the Meute, who finished one win ahead of them. These are the first two teams to crack the most wins list since S41 and the first two teams to crack the top points list since all the way back in S33. A historic season for both teams - and they were in the same conference! Max, however, set some marks for an individual as well. He had 89 assists, which will tie him with Aksel Thomassen on the Top 25 list for Assists in a Single Season, who is also coincidentally the last player to make this list - doing so in S42. That high assist total, combined with a Top 5 finish in the league this season in goal scoring, helped Max to 145 points. That mark is enough to put Max in a tie for 24th place on the Top 25 Points in a Single Season record book. This list has not been cracked since Wozniak did it in S35, a 14 year drought! Max is only the 2nd Toronto player to ever make the list, outside of S7's Scotty Campbell, who also holds the top spot. Max is only the 3rd member of the Legion to make the Top 25 Assists list as well (Spelman and Brooks). We all know scoring in the VHL has been way off the record marks that we've seen in the league, as the scoring has dried up quite a bit and the goaltenders have had an easier go - but Max Molholt hasn't given up the hope that a modern era player can etch their name onto some of these lists, and this season, he's done just that.
