Reports came in yesterday that Kachur was a free agent after Riga Reign failed to offer the man a contract after the draft. Many teams become alerted and started to contact the Defender. Hoping they can acquire the services of what will surely be a talented depth defender. Early this morning reports surfaced that Alex Kachur had come to a decision and signed a contract. The result was Riga Reign offered and said what the young man needed to hear. We caught up with Kachur at a morning skate to get his thoughts on the matter. “Well you know I had a few teams contact me when the news broke, I spoke with all the General Managers and then decided to mull over my options. I decided to go with Riga, I feel the Manager there has my best interest in mind and is really excited to work along side me to make me the best player I can. It was never about the money or fame but more about the chance to play at the highest level. I feel Riga Reign is were I can achieve that goal. “ So there you have it for the next three years Alex Kachur will be wearing orange, Question is will this decision back fire on Riga?
