Three Games In One

That’s what fans in Ottawa experienced yesterday in the VHLM playoff game between the Ottawa Lynx and Yukon Rush. The game went into a sixth overtime period before the Rush were able to finally put home the game winner. The game that started in the evening hours of August 31^st, ended in a different month, with the game coming to an end in the wee hours of the first day of September.  

The Lynx tied the game in the third period with under a minute remaining in regulation time, with a total of seventy-three shots being fired between that time and the time that Izidors Balders put home the game winner at the 11:45 mark of the sixth overtime period. The Rush were able to take a commanding three to one series lead over Ottawa with the overtime win, and will be looking to finish off the series tonight with the series shifting back to Yukon.
