He dominated in a lot of aspects, taking advantage of a league that had a very low number of top-tier defensemen. With the torch being passed to a new generation of player, Canada has now brought us a new addition to the Morgan family, Francis Zach Morgan. Zach Morgan has made his mark in AAA as one of the best players coming up, and the VHLM is already taking note of his prowess as a forward. Can Zach Morgan continue his dominance? Time will tell, but so far there is nothing that he cannot do short of actually playing every single position for his team. His faceoffs are superb, his strength is second to none, his shot is heavy and quick, his playmaking ability is otherworldly, and the only thing that some question (the insane ones) is his work ethic. But as a youngster only now getting ready to enter major juniors, he has a lot of time to get that in order. His current competition coming up is looking quite strong at face value. There is Johnny Styles, another player from British Columbia. The Australian Alexander Thrower, who is a bit older but is incredibly fast for his size and could be a bigger target for upcoming teams due to his reputation. However, the main competition for Francis Zach Morgan will be Edwin Threencarnacion, from the strange land of the Dominican Republic and currently more famous for scoring at this moment. He has already started on the right foot as one of the most developed prospects currently playing, and right now Zach Morgan is going to be on an uphill battle to match him in training. However, while Threencarnacion has a lot of merit from Encarnacion and Reencarnacion before him, Zach Morgan is coming from the Morgan family which doesn't need a lot of training attributes in order to be incredibly successful, and that will prove to be a very tangible advantage going forward. So what is next for Francis Zach Morgan? With the VHL and VLHM playoffs almost at an end, Zach Morgan will have to work very hard to show incoming scouts what he has to offer the league, because as it stands he has entered the fray a bit late in comparison to everyone else. Will he be as successful as many have anticipated? It is not known just yet. But Zach Morgan in the last couple of weeks has certainly shown he will be a dominant player if he can just get over the whole "I'm bored and want to go home" issue that plagued York Morgan during his career. One thing to note is Zach Morgan is hoping not to be on a bottom-feeder team in the VHLM when he is eventually drafted, because he has seen how young careers have been ended due to starting out on teams with absolutely no depth. The battle between Zach Morgan and Threencarnacion could be super intense! Do I sense a rivalry?
