Wherein Ravenwing Discusses Team Europe Linemates

Recommended Posts

Centerman Essian Ravenwing had a disappointing rookie season, by his expectations. Although he led the Stockholm Vikings in assists with 33, the rugged Welshman fell well short of the point per game pace he had set as his goal. Despite his inefficiency, however, Ravenwing was recently named as the purported top line center for Team Europe in the upcoming World Cup. Speculation is that Tyson Kohler of the Cologne Express and Shawn Muller of HC Dynamo will be flanking the rookie. Both Kohler and Muller registered over 150 hits in the regular season, which should help provide some breathing room for the slick play making abilities of Ravenwing. They also combined for over 70 goals, or, to put it another way, 86% of the Stockholm Vikings entire goal total for the season.

"Obviously I'm very excited to not only be named to the team, but to probably be playing with talents like Tyson and Shawn," Ravenwing said via conference call this morning. "Those two are both phenomenal all-around players and they both have the ability to make goal scoring look easy. I really hope that the World Cup is something of a coming out party for me, an experience I can build on moving forward with the Vikings, but for right now, the focus is on winning the Gold for Team Europe."
