:vhl:Team American World Fuck Yeah!:vhl:

The VHLs’ World Cup of Hockey has once again come and gone, and in this year’s edition the usual early eliminated Team World took home its first Gold Medal in its history in the biennial tournament. Team World wasn’t expected to make a great deal of noise outside of possibly contending for the teams’ second World Cup Bronze medal, but come elimination time the group came together and played their best hockey. Veteran goaltender Ariel Weinstein, who was playing in his fourth World Cup, saved his best for the gold medal game. Weinstein allowed one goal on twenty-three shots, taking home the first star honors in what could possibly be his last VHL World Cup game. Along with the strong performance by Weinstein, Team World saw the continued dominance of defenseman Biggu Kyanon in the Gold Medal game, where he put home the eventual game winner at the 11:13 mark of the second period.

With the majority of the roster expected to return with the next World Cup in Season Fifty-Two, those who follow Team World are hoping for a repeat in two season’s time.

*For Weinstein*
