der meister 3,188
The first two seasons of the careers of Essian Ravenwing and Diana Maxwell are nearly in the books, and both players have expressed their frustration with both their individual and team performances. "This is absolutely maddening," Maxwell said earlier this week, following another shutout loss for the New York Americans. Meanwhile, the eloquent but more introspective Ravenwing said that his VHL career so far is something akin to feeling like every action, whether correct or incorrect, backfires regardless of execution or intent. He followed it up by pulling out his phone and showing reporters a gif, seen below. "That's us," Ravenwing said, "standing outside the ring, doing everything in our power to get the edge. Hell, we even get a lucky bounce and get one early in the game, or in this case, pinging the stairs off the opponent's head. But then, somehow, we end up bashing ourselves as well." Only time will tell what will happen for the Americans. The offseason is fast approaching, and there is hope in New York that the team brings in a few more talented players to avoid a repeat of this abysmal season.
