An exposure layer would make sure to balance everything out. As it stands the BG is too dark and the face is too bright so the contrast is way off. With that said your stock work is coming along and although the strokes on the text are kinda meh the overall text layout isn't too bad. Try to work with things that aren't strokes on text and it'll make it look a lot more proper.
