Claimed:Pastrnak [2/2] [Reviewed]

Recommended Posts

Review: Needs some work. The lighting is a bit too strong, and the left side of the background could definitely use some work. When it comes to text, try to keep it simple, both with font choice and with color/style, by doing things like using gradients (if you need help with that, feel free to shoot me a PM).

I find a good rule of thumb is to not show a full render in a sig. The size just doesn't usually work well with it as it makes the player look tiny and insignificant when he should be the main focus. I like to see you trying new things with the text because experimenting is good but like Muffins said, simple is sometimes better. Master making simple text work with the piece (get it closer to the render for a start so it's less distracting) before trying to do complex things: gotta walk before you can run. Aside from that don't be afraid to experiment with stocks. It kinda looks like you just left them on normal and put the opacity way down. be creative, mess with layer modes and see what things they change and can bring out of your stocks. Don't be afraid to play around with things, the undo and delete buttons can and will be your friends.

@.sniffuM @Beketov so I do have a question about layers: I'm a GIMP guy. How do I play around with those different layer modes? I guess I don't really have much experience and most of the help I find is for PS RIP

Unfortunately I'm not 100% sure. I know GIMP has at least some of them but it's been so long since I've used it that I can't recall where they are located.
