Here we are back at it again this time we start with the Season 4 VHL Entry Draft who amazingly had no Hall of Fame player. They had some very good players but none have been enshrined the VHL Hall of Fame. Let's get it started then with the Avangard Havoc who had 5 picks, but none in the 1st round.

2nd Round, Pick 10 (via Seattle): Defenseman Hugh Reaction

Career Reg. Season Stats: 72 GP | 7 G | 23 A | 30 P

Career Playoff Stats: N/A

Well, at least Hugh played one season for the Avangard Havoc. He appeared in 72 games, scoring 7 goals and assisting on 23 goals for 30 points in his once season in the VHL. He never played in the playoffs either.

2nd Round, Pick 11: Center Aaron Wilson

Career Reg. Season Stats: 144 GP | 19 G | 40 A | 59 P

Career Playoff Stats: N/A

Just one pick after Reaction, Aaron Wilson was selected. He played in 2 VHL seasons scoring 19 goals and assisting on 40 goals for 59 points. Neither lit the world on fire but they were better than the other 3 picks who never played one single game.

2nd Round, Pick 16: Goaltender Gustav Frasik

Career Reg. Season Stats: N/A

Career Playoff Stats: N/A

3rd Round, Pick 19: Left Wing Martin Louis

Career Reg. Season Stats: N/A

Career Playoff Stats: N/A

3rd Round, Pick 24: Left Wing Neil Havok

Career Reg. Season Stats: N/A

Career Playoff Stats: N/A

Verdict:

The Avangard Havoc hit on absolutely nothing in this Season 4 VHL Entry draft. Wilson and Reaction were depth players for 2 and 1 season, but that isn't enough to call them a hit.

The Calgary Wranglers made no selections in this draft.

Hamilton is up next and they made 4 selection.

1st Round, Pick 5 (via Vasteras): Left Wing Fabian Brunnstrom

Career Reg. Season Stats: 500 GP | 265 G | 310 A | 575 P

Career Playoff Stats: 28 GP | 9 G | 13 A | 22 P

Fabian Brunnstrom was one of the few hits in this draft. He played in 500 career games, scoring 265 goals and assisting on 310 goals for 575 points throughout his career. He also appeared in 28 playoff games, scoring 9 goals and assisting on 13 goals for 22 points. He was apart of the Season 7 Continental Cup champs which were the Avangard Havoc. Overall, Fabian had a very great career before he tried his hand in the NHL but couldn't cut it there so now he is in Switzerland I believe plying his trade in the top Swiss league.I bet Vasteras though, regrets trading this pick.

1st Round, Pick 7: Left Wing Scott Anderson

Career Reg. Season Stats: 119 GP | 17 G | 33 A | 50 P

Career Playoff Stats: N/A

The man, the myth, the legend that is Scott Anderson. This man lives in infamy because he created about 100 players in such a short period of time. Maybe not 100, but it was a lot anyway. In fact I'm pretty sure he has 2 players at least in this draft that I know of and he had one player in Season 3's draft, Heman Ho. Anyway, Anderson scored 17 goals and assisted on 33 goals for 50 points in his 119 game VHL career. He never played in a playoff game and was banned from the VHL after it was found out how many players he had.

2nd Round, Pick 12: Center Steven Morin

Career Reg. Season Stats: 353 GP | 110 G | 185 A | 295 P

Career Playoff Stats: 8 GP | 3 G | 5 A | 8 P

Steven Morin was a 2nd round steal and might be the only player of note coming from the 2nd round just based on names and my memory of these players. Looking at his career stats also give me a bias opinion because I don't quite remember him being this good. He played in 353 games, scoring 110 goals and assisting on 185 goals for 295 points. He also played in 8 playoff games scoring 3 goals and assisted on 5 goals for 8 points. A very respectable total for a mid 2nd round pick.

3rd Round, Pick 20: Goaltender LeBron Gonzalez

Career Reg. Season Stats: N/A

Career Playoff Stats: N/A

LeBron didn't play a single VHL game.

Verdict

The Canucks hit on 2 of 4 players, Anderson could have been a hit if he didn't get the ban hammer as he had the makings of a decent career.
