BluObieZ 1,125
As everyone knows Oslo is a very bad hockey team. They only have nine wins this season which has left their only legit star in goalie Vernon Von Axelberry to try new ways of trying to get a trade. While the team GM has openly said that he will be shopping the goaltender teams that are contending are a bit shy about giving up the 1st round in any draft asking price. Why? because most teams that are in the top tier of teams already have their goalies. Giving up a 1st rounder for a backup might be a bit steep. At it stands the most Axelberry can play is 50% of a teams remaining games because since they already have a legit star starter. Would that help that team? sure as fuck will because they will know no matter what, no matter who they put in the net they will get the same results. But to give up that 1st rounder in any draft is a bit hard for teams because they are already getting good results with their starter. Is it really worth the steep price to bring in another goalie? well Bratislava did it last year with Axelberry and they won the cup. Axelberry may have not played much in the playoffs and when he did he kinda shit the bed but he has gotten a lot better. But this makes me circle back to the same question, why would a team who is already piling on the wins trade for him when they already have a goalie capable of getting the wins? The answer is I don't know. But that has not stopped Axelberry from trying to provoke teams to trade for him. He has tried everything from taking out full page adds in VHLM cities and speaking to the fans saying that he wants to play in that city, which did not work because it was the same article in every city fans knew he only wanted to play for a good team and not their city. He has also resorted to standing in front of the opposing teams locker room and asking for them to trade for him. At this point he will love a trade to any team that has a shot at the cup and he will play as many games as the team deems he will play. Be it 50% or just a few games because its not fair to their starter. But one thing you did not know about Axelberrry, is that more likely then not he will opt to play in the VHLM next season when he will forsure be the best goalie in the league. So if you go for it you will have the best goalie by a long shot, or you will have a huge trading chip to trade that will yield a huge payday for your team. So your first rounder that you trade now will be returned and most likely more. Another thing that cannot be forgotten is that Axelberry's agent Robbie Zimmers is the GM in Bern and he has a stockpile of draft picks in the upcoming draft. Most likely they will be the favorite team in the VHLM next season. So he may swoop in at the deadline and trade for his client for a run next season. If you pair Axelberry with the plethora of picks they have in the next draft Bern maybe unstoppable next season.
