Unfinished business or something like that. James Faraday, the S39 1st overall pick who played 7 VHL seasons with 4 different teams is now 32 years old and could be in a position to make a return to the VHL. Faraday was a great player in the league during his seven seasons, but only once eclipsed the 100 point mark, and failed to reach his primary goal of being a 50 goal scorer.

 

When Faraday retired from the VHL he took three years off but it wasn't time for him to give up on the pro hockey life just yet. In Season 50 he joined the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL and played 21 games, he went on to play two more full seasons in the ECHL. In Season 53 he received a try out from the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL, and in camp earned himself a $825,000 dollar two-way contract with the Coyotes. So far Faraday has played the entire season in the AHL with the Tuscon Roadrunners where he has seen ice time on the 3rd line.

 

At 32 years old, time is not in favour of Faraday's career, but he will continue to work hard with one goal in mind, make it back to the VHLM, and the VHL. It's a long shot, but if Faraday can get his game in the AHL it isn't a long shot to think he could be on a VHLM team by Season 56.
