Peyton Nydroj was drafted with the 8th overall selection by the Toronto Legion in the Season 18 VHL Entry Draft. This pick was traded 3 times by the Seattle Bears originally to the HC Davos Dynamo and finally to Toronto. Seattle traded the pick with Voittu Jannula to Davos for a Season 17 Davos 1st (Markus Strauss), a Season 17 New York 2nd (Cam Fowler) and a Season 19 Davos 2nd (Sigmund Olofsson). Davos traded the pick to Toronto with a Season 18 Davos 1st (Cedric Pollack) and a Season 19 Davos 1st (Jaroslav Oslig) for Ondrej Skokan Jr, Blade Hunter, Ryan Wells, Cameron Stephens a Season 18 Toronto 1st (David Vidal) and a Season 18 Madrid 3rd (Hamza Amid). After the draft, Toronto sent down most of it's new draftees down to the Brampton Battalion for Season 18 because Toronto thought it was best for business. Toronto was right because Peyton had a monster season with 104 goals and 79 assists for 183 points in 72 games. He was a monster that lead to him winning the Alexander Chersenko Trophy as VHLM Top Scorer. The Battalion steamrolled the playoffs on their way to a Founders Cup championship win. Peyton scored 6 goals and assisted on 8 goals for 14 points in the playoffs.

Season 19 saw Peyton get called up to the VHL where he would score 42 goals and assist on 40 goals for 82 points. It was a very fine rookie season in which the Legion made the playoffs as a 2nd place team. This meant though that they would have to play the defending Cup champions, the Calgary Wranglers. In 5 short games the Wranglers dispatched of the Legion. In 5 games, Peyton scored 4 goals and assisted on 4 goals for 8 points.

Season 20 was a bit of a set back for Peyton as he scored just 30 goals and assisted on 28 goals for 58 points. Less playing time meant less points. The Legion finished as the top team in the NA Conference with 114 points compared to the 81 point Seattle Bears who finished 2nd. Toronto would sweep the Bears in the playoffs and move onto the finals where they would play the HC Davos Dynamo. In a 7 game thriller, the Dynamo came out on top. Peyton somewhat made up for his regular season shortcomings with 6 goals and 6 assists for 12 points in 12 games.

 

Season 21 - Toronto Legion

Season 21 saw the Legion finish 1st in the NA Conference again with 119 points which meant they also won the Victory Cup as top Regular Season team. Peyton bounced back with 41 goals and 41 assists for 82 points. The Legion would play the Bears in the first round again. This time the Bears would put up a good fight before losing in 7 games. The Legion moved onto the finals where they would play the Dynamo once again. However, unlike last season the series ended quickly and the Legion came out on top in just 5 games. Peyton scored 6 goals and assisted on 6 goals for 12 points once again.

Season 22 saw the Legion finish with 126 points, the only team to finish with more than 100 points in the regular season meaning they won back to back Victory Cups. Peyton had a monster season scoring 48 goals and assisted on 56 goals for 106 points. Peyton also only had 4 PIM and hit only 3 players all season winning him the Mikka Virkkunen Trophy as VHL Most Sportsmanlike Player. The Wranglers finished 2nd in the NA and were set to play  the Legion in the playoffs much like in Season 19. This time the Legion came out on top and moved onto the finals for a 3rd straight year. After 6 games, the Helsinki Titans emerged as champions upsetting the Legion. Peyton scored 4 goals and assisted on 9 goals for 13 points.

Season 23 saw the Legion win the NA Conference again but they lost out on the Victory Cup by 4 points. Peyton scored 60 goals and assisted on 59 goals for 119 points which was a new career high. The 60 goals won Peyton the Kevin Brooks Trophy as VHL Top Goal Scorer. In a rematch of Season 19 and Season 22, the Legion and Wranglers would due battle in the playoffs. In what predicted to be a close series, the Legion lost in 5 games. Peyton only scored 1 goal and assisted on 1 goal for 2 points.

The Legion bounced back with another Victory Cup win in Season 24 after finishing with 114 points. Peyton played a big part in that with 58 goals and 63 assists for 121 points. The 58 Goals once again won him the Kevin Brooks Trophy. A new foe emerged as the New York Americans wanted in on the playoff party for the first time in a long time. However, the Americans lost to the Legion in 5 games. Season 24 saw Davos and Toronto go head to head for the Cup for the 3rd time in 5 seasons. Davos secured the victory in 6 games. Peyton scored 4 goals and assisted on 5 goals for 9 points.

In the Season 24 off-season, the Legion decided it was time to retool and traded Peyton to the Vasteras Iron Eagles. Peyton was traded for Erik Haakonsson and a Season 26 Vasteras 1st (Jack Voratek). In Vasteras, Peyton scored 46 goals and assisted on 47 goals for 93 points. Vasteras finished 1 point behind Davos for top spot in the European. The Iron Eagles went into the playoffs with all hope of breaking the curse. The Curse was something that happened after Season 1 when Vasteras upset the Calgary Wranglers in the finals. However, it wasn't meant to be as Vasteras lost in 6 games. In his final playoff, Peyton scored 1 goal and assisted on 3 goals for 4 points. It was a bitter end ot a terrific career.

if it wasnt for such a bad 2nd season i think he could have been a HoFer if you add in about 30 points give or take for that 2nd season
