DollarAndADream 3,357
TOR G the God Look, heading into this season, nobody would have thought TOR G should be a number one goaltender in the VHL. But, alas, he has been playing great. Torstein Ironside is playing alright himself, but TOR G has not even lost a game in regulation. TOR G's 5-0-1 record combined with his 0.932%SV and 1.32GAA have him in consideration to take over the reigns from Ironside. Torstein Ironside himself holds a save percentage of 91.7% and a goals against average of 2.13. Sure, Ironside has 9 shutouts to G's 2, but who cares? ------------------------------------ ------------------------------------ Let's take a look at TOR G's recent games: Game 263 vs Seattle Bears I mean, look at that shit. TOR G posted a shutout with 11 saves against the Seattle Bears. What more do I have to say? Asher Donovan and Mattias Forsberg put 3 shots each on TOR G, but none of them got by him and into the net. They even had 7 shots on goal in the 2nd period alone. Let's ignore the fact that Toronto outshot Seattle 71-11 in this game though. TOR G is a God. Game 205 @ Stockholm Vikings In this game, TOR G made 17 of 18 saves. He played amazingly in this one, with a 3-1 win over the Vikings. The Vikings threw 10 of those shots on goal in the 2nd period, where Austin Hickey V scored a goal, but important thing is the 9 saves. The Legion outshot Stockholm 49-11, but TOR G definitely held Toronto in this game. A couple of goals here or there and this would have been scary for Toronto. Even Jack Kraken had 6 shots on goal with no results. TOR G is a stud. Game 165 @ New York Americans You are probably asking yourself, how good could this guy really be? Well, in a game against the New York Americans, TOR G posted a 10 save shutout. Yeah, this Americans team is the same which used to have superstars like Connor Low, Odin Tordahl, and many other Hall of Famers. You might also ask yourself, but wait, those players aren't on this current team, are they? No, they aren't, but their spirits are, and TOR G stopped all of those shots too. Toronto won 4-0, thanks to the efforts of TOR G. TOR G is the man. So, what is stopping Toronto's GM from making the big switch and breaking the news? Well, the time could come soon, or maybe it won't. Who really knows? Ironside might not mind sitting out a week or two in favour of the great TOR G, King in the East, and first of his name. Listen, Torstein Ironside is still growing, so who is to say that his numbers won't get better and start out-performing TOR G? That's a question for another day, however.
