Life is such a hurricane, here in Duckburg

Childhood:

Launchpad McQuack was born to parents who are unknown in Beijing, China. The reason is because they abandoned him as a baby. He was placed on the door steps of a group home early on. It was here that he would go on to grow up and eventually aim to be a hockey star one day. Little did he know that his life would be playing professional hockey in the Victory Hockey League. Growing up, Launchpad didn't exactly have the best of anything. He was the kind of kid who stuck to himself and he wasn't really social kid. Whenever called upon in class, he opted to remain silent and the kids would laugh at him for not responding. This ensured that he would go on to be a social outcast for quite some time. He wasn't really sure as to why he loved to remain silent but it was just something the felt comfortable with. The only time you would ever hear him talking was when he would talk to any of the adults in the group home. Even when he was not in school and he was at home, he would remain as quiet as could be unless spoken to by an adult.

Upbringing:

During his middle school years, he was always the head of his class. Despite still not really talking when asked to in class and such, his grades were never the problem. He would always have every project and assignment done on time and he would even ask for extra credit even though it was not needed. His teachers didn't really question him on why he never spoke really during class and I think they understood why. He was just your average silent kid who liked to get his work done and he just wanted to leave as soon as the bell rang for the end of the school day. Everyday when he left, he would see the kids outside playing basketball and other various sports. He never once wanted to stop and see how these games were played but he thought maybe one day this could be him. One day he would be able to break out of his shell and he would actually start making friends and be able to do things other kids do. While he wasn't certain when this would be, he continued to keep to himself. He just wanted to do his schoolwork and then get ready for high school.

High School:

It seemed just like yesterday that he had finished middle school. He was at the start of his freshman year and he thought nothing of breaking out of his shell yet. He had watched some sports though on television at home but had not bothered with them at school. He had grew very fond of American Football, Baseball and Hockey. His high school team had their own hockey team but not American Football or baseball. He once sat in on a practice of hockey but he was all the way at the top where no one could see him. He tried to remain out of sight for the next three years. It wasn't until his senior year in high school that he decided to break out of his shell. He went out for the hockey team and surprisingly after watching it all these years, he made the team. He was placed on the varsity team and while he was coming off the bench, he started to become more known around school. This would be the start of him making friends and him making a name for himself. He finished as the team's third best scoring option on the year and he had made countless friends outside of his hockey brothers. He was even offered a couple scholarships to some local colleges. The choice was on him to decide what to do next. It took him around a week but he talked it over with his parents and he wanted to forgo college. He was heading to the VHL Headquarters to register for their farm league.

VHLM Career:

Launchpad was late showing up to the draft so he didn't get his chance to enter it. Instead he was contacted by a few GM's but he had been interested in the Oslo Storm strangely. He got in touch with an agent, KGR, who has represented some pretty solid players over the years. While none of them have reached the hall of fame, a handful have enjoyed quite a bit of success. Some other players he represented had their careers cut short due to unexplained obstacles. Launchpad was the second player that would be represented by him currently. The previous players had their chance to shine but they failed to do so. While Astrid Moon looks like he could have a solid career, he has four more seasons left after this one. Only time will tell how things will pan out for him. Launchpad is looking forward to being drafted and he has a couple of teams on is list that he would like to be drafted by. He knows that he doesn't get to decide where he goes but he is for certain that some teams he likes more than others. He also has one franchise that he will never play for as he heard very negative rumors of their GM.

So far this season Launchpad has been playing very mediocre. 21 goals, 32 assists totaling 53 points are his numbers to date. None of his other stats really stick out or are worth mentioning. He currently has first round potential written all over him and he just wants to be drafted.

VHL Outlook:

Launchpad has compiled a list of teams he wants to go to, some he isn't fond of and of course the one he won't play for. This list is in no particular order.

Teams to play for: Toronto Legion, New York Americans, Helsinki Titans and Stockholm Vikings.

Teams on the fence: Seattle Bears, HC Davos Dynamo

Teams not fond of: Quebec City Meute, Riga Reign, Cologne Express

Team who he won't play for: Calgary Wranglers

This is reflective of the current feelings towards each franchise/GM. While he may end up on one of these teams, he sure hope he does not land on and of the bottom four teams. This would be very abysmal to his career and he would only play for his rookie contract. If he lands on Calgary however, expect a holdout or something to happen where he doesn't play for this franchise. Let's just hope that it doesn't come to that last option for sure.

Review:

Great grammar and punctuation!

Since im new to the whole VHL thing (technically ive never been in the VHL) I dont know the history behind each team but its very interesting to read everyone's take on each team.

One day I hope I get to GM a team and im starting to wonder if its the teams people are scared of or the people running it.
