Today and for the first time in the history of the Victory Hockey League, the site was down and unavailable to it's members (who got the sarcasm?). During previous talks, @Higgins commissioner high said it doesn't happen once a month but disgruntled members on the leagues Discord stated it seemed to almost be happening weekly. While maybe slightly dramatic, it sure has been happening a lot lately, hey? Any who, while the site was down and I almost lost my 2,400 word article because of the fact (so I thought), I began doing a little searching out of boredom and stumbled across the VHL's old portal.

 

With a little doing and talking to Jardy, we've decided to get it up and running. I've added in all the weeks, but unfortunately, that's all I'm able to do right now until @JardyB10 finds time to get things rolling. Either way, I'm standing beside him and am lending a helping hand. I got the client + simulator and am able to do files and shit if sent my way.

 

Ideally, I'd like to throw in this seasons currently, but Jardy believes there won't be a huge issue throwing in the seasons past to have the site full of history and career stats. My goal is to have as much as possible on there - so we can go through team history, player statistics of those current and retired. In my eyes, having this would increase activity a little bit and would be a result of the league looking more professional and shit. Plus, portals are nice and easy to navigate. Would be highly attractive to new member imo.

I think it goes back quite a ways. Not 100% sure right now, but either way, we have quite a ways back if I'm not mistaken. We'll have recent player careers and stats on there. Maybe not all, all, alllll the way back, but hey. Portal will be nice to have!!
