Spade18 1,309
Hey VHLMers (and anyone else who reads this!) Sorry for my hiatus. Things are getting crazy at work and I'm doing 12-14 hours 7 days a week, which has not left me a lot of time to devote to the VHL. I probably shouldnt even be doing this today, but I figured I've missed about two weeks so it's about time. Last season I started an article which each week analyzed TPE factors for each team. These factors include each teams total TPE, the weekly increases, the average TPE per player on the team, the teams relative position in the league, and which player was the current highers TPE earner. Sally forth and let me show off my greatest life skill which is over analyzing everything and not really gaining insight from it! Pre-season: Team Total TPE (Increased TPE) Average TPE per player League Position Top TPE Earner 1. Oslo Storm 1073 (0) 59.61 (18 players) D - Nicodemus Raven, TPE: 107 (SEA). 2. Ottawa Lynx 998 (0) 71.29 (14 players) C - Corey Klopfenstein, TPE: 157 (CGY) 3. Saskatoon Wild 852 (0) 71 (12 players) LW - Phil Bennington, TPE: 161 4. Yukon Rush 786 (0) 49.13 (16 players) D - Augustus Gloop, TPE: 141 (20 Banked) (SEA) 5. Las Vegas Aces 751 (0) 50.06 (15 players) D - Colton Rayne, TPE: 175 (14 Banked) League Total TPE 4460 (+0) 59.46 (75 players) Week 1: Team Total TPE (Increased TPE) Average TPE per player League Position Top TPE Earner 1. Oslo Storm 1272 (+52) 66.95 (19 players) 1 C - Jasper Canmore, TPE: 154 (STO) 2. Ottawa Lynx 1132 (+9) 80.86 (14 players) 2 C - Corey Klopfenstein, TPE: 157 (CGY) 3. Saskatoon Wild 887 (+9) 73.16 (12 players) 3 LW - Phil Bennington, TPE: 174 (TOR) 4. Yukon Rush 856 (+14) 53.5 (16 players) 5 D - Augustus Gloop, TPE: 141 (20 Banked) (SEA) 5. Las Vegas Aces 816 (+8) 54.4 (15 players) 4 D - Colton Rayne, TPE: 192 (22 Banked) League Total TPE 4963 (+92) 65.30 (76 players) Week 3: Team Total TPE (Increased TPE) Average TPE per player League Position Top TPE Earner 1. Ottawa Lynx 1546 (+414) 96.63 (16 players) 2 D - Colton Rayne, TPE: 222 (52 Banked) 2. Oslo Storm 1466 (+194) 73.3 (20 players) 1 C - Jasper Canmore, TPE: 181 (6 Banked) (STO) 3. Las Vegas Aces 617 (-199) 38.56 (16 players) 4 LW - Shiro, TPE: 84 (STO) League Total TPE 5546 (+583) 66.82 (83 players) So the landscape of the league has changed quite a bit since last we spoke. Trade deadline day happened early with the VHLM teams wheeling and dealing. Yukon and Vegas sold off some of their heavy hitters after disappointing starts to the season. Saskatoon and Ottawa were respectively the beneficiaries of said deals, sending picks back the other way. With the move, Ottawa jumps up to the #1 spot after landing top TPE player Colton Rayne @Spade18 (shameless self plug) in their deal, but have yet to usurp the Storm for the top spot in the standings. The Storm were quiet during the trades, only making one move for a goalie. It seems to be working for them as they still sit in first place, despite dropping to 2nd in TPE ranking. Congrats to Canmore for breaking into the Banked TPE club. Saskatoon made a big splash in trades, and closed the gap with the top two TPE teams. Congrats to Bennington for also breaking into the Banked TPE club. The Rush and The Ace's have made their intentions known and are vying for the 1st overall pick in the upcoming draft. Thanks for reading as always. hedgehog337 3,483
REVIEW: Nothing much to say because it was a long time ago. But Nicodemus Raven as a pre-season TPE leader of the future champs It's also funny to see Gloop leading Yukon, now he's playing in Riga lol. Probably playing in a bottom team helped him with getting all 20 TPE from the achievement tracker. @Spade18 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/45587-vhlm-weekly-tpe-rankings-week-3-technically-its-like-5-or-something12/#findComment-492640 Share on other sites
