Aleksei Federov has been the best player when it comes to attributes pretty much since the day he rolled into Seattle. His first couple seasons, while playing subpar hockey, he managed 35-45 points in both seasons. Unfortunately for him, he was the only offense there and he was doing is all from the back end. The next 2 seasons in his career, he managed 79 and 80 points - a double in offense in both seasons  compared to the 2 prior. As he heads into his 5th instalment for the VHL and Bears, one has to wonder what kind of season Federov is going to have. He's built like a bull and has  a lot of his stats in the right place. On top of that, the Bears look as ready as ever to make some noise and it'll likely depend if lucks plays with them this year if they're gonna make the good kind of noise. For Federov, we're expecting another breakout season beyond his current offensive production.

Right now in my career, I'm looking for something a little bigger than what I've currently been pacing at. For my first 2 seasons, I was unhappy with the results but understood I was on a poor team and numbers like that are fairly common, obviously. The next two following, I played a much bigger game but we were still weaker. The moment I was surrounded by more options though, I felt better - felt stronger and could see strong results. This up coming season, I really think I'm going to play some good hockey and to be honest, I'm antsy to get going. I really hope we have a hell of a year and make up for lost time.

Federov's Expectation

1. He wants 25+ goals, but is happy with anything over 20. The more he gets, the merrier he be.

2. 60+ assists - nothing less. He has huge firepower in front of him. This number should be achievable.

3. CUP. I want the cup.

4. D-man of the year award. He wants to go big!

+1 For Federov
