Daniel 565
After going down 3-1 in the Founder's Cup Final series against the Yukon Rush, the Las Vegas Aces approached Game 5 nervously. The team was acutely aware of what was on the line and were desperate to keep themselves alive and bring the series back closer to even when they stepped out for the 5th game, and it's safe to say that no one watching until the end was disappointed. The Aces suffered 3 early goals in the first 3 periods and with ten minutes left in the game's concluding gambit it looked as if the series was over and done with and with it the Aces' season. However, the team had different ideas and managed to score 3 goals in the game's final 12 minutes to tie it up, before they got the job done in overtime with a goal that kept their dreams alive for another day. The performance by the Aces to get themselves right back into things surely returns momentum to their side and put the ball firmly in their court for Game 6. They've shown they're not going to lie down and let the Rush take the series, and if the next encounter matches up to this standard then we're going to be in for a hell of a ride. 215 words Spade18 and STZ 2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/48347-aces-fight-back/ Share on other sites
