Cologne Leapfrogs Vasteras; How Will This End?

stars2.jpg

Kameron Taylor and the rest of the depleted Express roster continue to give the Eggly Bagelface and the rest of the Iron Eagles nightmares.

VASTERAS, Sweden - At one point in time during the regular season, the Vasteras Iron Eagles held a 16 point lead over the Cologne Express in the standings; now the Express currently hold a 1 point lead over the Iron Eagles. Highlighted by their continued dominance of the Iron Eagles in games (the Express have won all six games so far with an 18:5 goals-against ratio), the Express have been playing inspired after partially stripping their roster in a selling mode, which included moves that sent Lauris Prikulis and Cody Inko to Vasteras, Reggie Dunlop to Toronto, and Gregory Glass to Seattle.  Cologne defeated the Iron Eagles 4-1 in a game that saw COL G receive his 6th win, only letting in 1 goal on 26 shots. Then, the Express beat down the lowly Wranglers 6-1, with Malcom Spud and Kameron Taylor each netting two goals and two assists a piece. This recent stellar play of the Express is only another trend in an odd season sim-wise, especially after selling parts of their roster.
