Davos -- The newest HC Davos Dynamo winger will be arriving with a bit of hardware: former Seattle Bears forward Gabriel McAllister has been named the league's MVP for its 60th season. Leading all other players by 7 goals and 11 points, McAllister won 7 of the 8 total votes for the Scotty Campbell Trophy, his first in five seasons in the VHL.

"I'm not going to lie, this was a goal of mine heading into the league, and I'm glad to have achieved it," McAllister said on stage at the league's award ceremony. "It means a lot to be awarded for my work, and I'd like to thank my Seattle teammates and coaches for helping me get there."

In addition to MVP, McAllister also won the Most Outstanding Player, Most Goals, and Most Points awards. Added to his previous Rookie of the Year (S56), Top Two-Way Forward (S58), and Playoff MVP (S59) trophies, the forward now has seven individual VHL awards. He also won Playoff MVP twice in the VHLM.

Now, it's a new challenge for McAllister, as he'll look to repeat with a younger Davos squad. For his part, McAllister thinks he can win MVP once again.

"I've started to get older, sure, but why not? I still have something to prove, and I have a good three seasons left to get this done."
