Hybrid1486 577
After the first few days of the VHLM season, it's clear that the Yukon Rush are the class of the league. Despite having played one extra game than the rest of the league, the 4-0-0 Rush are the league's only undefeated team and have won half of the games played so far in the young season. A playoff spot is a certainty and a championship is extremely likely for the Yukon squad. That said, not every player on the team is contributing. Second-round draft pick Vesto Slipher figured to play a somewhat important role on a superstar-laden team, but he was held scoreless in the first three games of the season and has registered a team-low -3 so far. "I'm going to come around," Slipher said when asked about his issues, "I just need to become a more well-rounded player. If they know I'm going to shoot when I touch the puck, I'm too easy to defend. I'm working on that." The Rush will succeed whether that happens or not, but Slipher's VHL future is dependent on continued improvement.
