Reports out of Calgary this morning state that Wranglers starting left wing Oyorra Arroyo has suffered from a bad case of the flu to start off the season. While he has not yet missed any game time, he was absent for a couple of team practices last week. Arroyo put in a ton of work this off season to improve his game, but due to his illness, we have not yet seen what the new and improved Arroyo can do. Arroyo has been limited to just 4 points so far this season, though he does lead Calgary with a 13.04% shooting percentage. While it appears that he is finally starting to kick the sickness, it will likely be another week or so before he's back to full strength. Calgary is ready for his come back as the top of the standings has been very tight in this early season. Just a single win separates 1st place from 5th place, and while it already seems like we know who this season's playoff teams will be, there's still a lot of time to jockey for positioning. With wins over the Meute, HC Dynamo, and the Titans in this early season, Calgary has made a statement to the league that they are ready to take the next step from playoff hopeful to championship contender
