Dangles13 373
I was unsure how I would like playing in Davos, Seattle is really all I have known in my time in the league and I tend to like sticking to what I know. I'm not afraid of the unknown per se, but... well, let's just say I like when things fit into "boxes" and that's that. Knowing where the best place to get my coffee in the morning was awesome, knowing what the traffic was going to be like just based on the day and time was awesome. Some may say these are little things and not worth getting worked up over, yet, you make 1,000,000 of these little changes and they add up. Your whole routine is out of whack and you have to go about the process of learning all the tiny quirks and shortcuts to get your life back to your normal. Anyways, I was trying to tell you a story about how I feel about playing for the Dynamo. I have to admit, playing here has been a lot of fun. Coming over with McAllister and Brodeur has made the transition easier and the on-ice success has definitely been a positive addition. I have been scoring at a point-per-game pace this season which is a nice change from my disastrous rookie season. I was struggling to score this season so when I popped in my first of the season last night I was quite elated; it was the game winner too which was just gravy. I've been settling in and working with the coaching staff over the past few weeks and I like what they are teaching me. I've been finding better passing lanes and learning to be more patient when I have to puck. One thing that I need to work on is my shot; in some occasions, it makes more sense to just pull up and let it rip but my shot isn't anything to be afraid of. I have actually noticed that teams will back off of me because they know that I cannot fire the puck for shit. It pisses me off and I need to use that as motivation to get that part of my game better, I don't like being an embarrassment to my teammates and GM. One day I would like to be considered one of the premier players in this league and I will continue to work towards that goal. I fell below my potential early on and I sort of lost my passion for the game but it's back now and I am committed to being the best I can be. I am unsure what the future brings for Otto Axelsson, I know not where my feet will take me, I have no destination in sight yet I know some stops I would like to make along the way before I ride off into the sunset. It is good to have goals although I believe in making my goals vaguer in nature; trying to achieve a specific criterion can add undue stress and I don't need that.
