Season 43

Most Surprising: Jorma Ruutu, 8^th Overall. Got the second most TPE from this draft class and broke the record for Game Winning Goals in a season (A record that had stood since Season 1).

Most Disappointing: E’Twaun Delicious, 1^st Overall. Not a bad player, but sub-600 TPE in an eight season career is way under the mark for what’s expected of the first overall pick.

 

Season 44

Most Surprising: None? Reencarnacion and Faux met expectations, how quickly Valmount became good was a surprise, but leaving the league very early on led to him being disappointing.

Most Disappointing: Kerkko Hyvarinen, 2^nd Overall. Finished his career with less than half of the TPE of any of his previous three players. Averaged less than 0.5 points per game in an eight season career.

 

Season 45

Most Surprising: None? The Top players met/exceeded expectations for the most part and none of the later picks really did.

Most Disappointing: Evgeny Nezhmetdinov, 6^th Overall. Lot of hype around this first-gen that had 159 TPE on draft day, but only updated once afterwards and despite winning a cup, wound up putting up less than 100 points in 322 games.
