Once touted as a steal by the Quebec City Meute in the second round of the Season 61 VHL Draft, Marvin Harding's stock has dropped considerably amidst a rough rookie VHL season. After showing solid potential as a VHLM first liner in Season 61, expectations were that Harding could bring playmaking ability and a physical edge to the Meute. Instead, Harding has had a mediocre showing in both regards, totaling 29 assists (38 points) and 162 hits through 66 games. He ranks 19th in the league in hits, 43rd in assists, and tied for 52nd in points. Although he's brought some decent physicality, expectations were that the extra VHLM seasoning he got in Season 61 would help him become an immediate impact player for the Meute. The team has built a strong core, but for now, Harding has struggled to live up to his potential.

He's also been passed up in minutes by rookie Vesto Slipher on the season. Time will tell if a rivalry will brew between these two as they join Beau Louth and Veran Dragomir as young core forwards on the team.
