S62 regular season is now finished and what a year it has been!? Quebec finished second in the standings with 51 wins from 72 games. Only Calgary managed to beat us, their total was 60 wins from 72 games. Before the season started, evrybody in Quebec were hoping for a good year, quite few rookies joined the team and in general there were quite few changes to the roster, but to see the team finish second in the standings and securing a spot in the playoffs so early was above what most even dreamed about. Now the hunt for final icing to the cake is starting

 

On individual level the regular season was also a positive one, was my rookie year and I got put into solid role right away, second line with special team minutes on both PK and PP.  42 points in 72 games is a good foundation to build on. If I would have to pick one area that I surprised myself, that would be the faceoffs. I won well over 50% of them, 59.61% exactly. That total is the fourth best among all centers in the league and best in Quebec. 

 

In the future my plan is to keep on working on the defensive side of my game and on the faceoffs, not going to be the most offensive center out there, but I hope I can be the difference maker defensively and give wingers next to me a chance to be slightly more offensive.
