Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - A new day is upon us. The confetti from season 63’s VHLM championship parade covers the streets of Saskatoon and babies are being made in houses all around the town. Yes, these people of Saskatoon know how to celebrate. But for one Saskatoon player the celebration is being put out of his mind. “Last season was great, we had the perfect team and everything seem to fall into place at the right time,” said Saskatoon forward Curtis Gary. “I was grateful to have a pretty good rookie season with a lot of opportunity to grow my game on the second line.”

With season 64 upon us and many of the teammates from last years championship team leaving for the big leagues, Gary is looking forward to leading the Saskatoon Wild to a repeat of last season on the top line. “It’s something I’m really embracing right now, I’m staying focused on making my game better every single day so I can be that role model for the new guys coming in next season.”
