Peace satisfied with performance so far.

RIGA, LATVIA — Rylan Peace has played four career VHL games, and in those games he’s only managed to acquire two assists. For a player hyping himself up as a potential rookie of the year, he is struggling to fit into the tougher league.

“I think we’re (all rookies) struggling for a reason, it’s a tougher league with amazing players. Back in the minors we were the best, now we’re not.” Peace noted. “Even Kronos Bailey is struggling, Dahlberg was an extremely dangerous player in the VHLM but he’s struggling.”

Kisshan Shaw, in fact, is the only rookie with a point per game - if we calculated it correctly, that is. At the moment it appears the index is including last seasons rookies as well so we’ve had to manually look into it.

“I’m fortunate enough to be playing with two all stars on the top line, I’ve got to find a way to contribute more.” Peace admitted “I’m still going through the emotions out there, I thought I’d be less nervous but I can feel it. Gripping the stick too hard, rushing a play when I had more time. Those small things I’ll inprove on as time goes on.”

Peace is plus three in his four games, although he has eleven shots he hasn’t scored a goal yet. His two points, however, are more than enough to satisfy the rookie.
