Peace hijacks Sonnet's interview - VSA News Exclusive

Recommended Posts

HELSINKI, FINLAND -- We were just about to interview Alexander Pepper on his 23 save performance that helped his club achieve a 3-2 victory over the top dogs of the league - the Riga Reign - when a then unknown player barged onto the interview set wielding two salt shakers. At first we couldn't identify the individual as he quickly moved towards the Helsinki goaltender, avoiding security and managing to bypass a battalion of fans trying to get their fifteen seconds of fame with their favourite hockey player.

The Riga gentlemen, still donning his gear but lacking any identifying jersey or number, made his way through news reporters and viciously attacked Pepper by pouring two salt shakers worth of the finely crushed minerals onto his head.

"Here's some salt for you, you hoser!" The gentlemen cursed, loud enough for our microphones to pick it up. "Stop saving all my shots!"

The Riga player turned around and revealed himself to the cameras.

Rylan Peace

Rylan Peace has taken nearly literally half his career shots against the Helsinki netminder, and fortunately for Pepper he's saved all but one. The frustrated (?) Rylan Peace moved away from the interview screaming incoherently waiving his stolen salt shakers to empathise what he was saying. When we proceeded with the interview, there was nothing more to be said. Peace likely returned to his dressing room before (we assume) leaving Helsinki on the team bus back to the airport.

VHL player safety may be looking at the incident, stay tuned for further updates.

CLAIMING for the week of Jan 14-20.
