Fire Tortorella 2,653 Posted January 20, 2019 Share Posted January 20, 2019 For the first time in his playing career, Smitty Warbenjagermanjensen has been given the opportunity to wear the red, white, and blue while representing his country on the international stage. One of 4 defensemen selected for the team, Smitty will be joining Team USA in this season's World Junior Championships. As an underage player who is still limited by how many practice hours he can have, it's unlikely that Smitty will be a stand out player in this tournament, but he has all the tools to be a solid addition to this team. "It's always a great opportunity to play for your country. This is a newer tournament for VHL and VHLM players, so I haven't heard too much from previous players about it, but it seems to be a good stepping stone for the Team USA brass to keep me in mind for future selection to Team USA for the World Cup."
