With the post season about to kick off, VHL.com managed to speak to newly signed Saskatoon Center, Maximilian Kirbsson.

Interviewer: “Hello Maximilian. How are you feeling today?”

KIRBSSON: “I feel good thanks. Training is going well and as a team we are looking ready to take on Oslo. Honestly, the unit feels so tight. They’ve welcomed me in with open arms and I’m happy to be here in Canada”.

Interviewer: “There are rumours coming in that you may be starting as first line Center from the get go. How concrete are these rumours and are you nervous at all?”

KIRBSSON: “Coach has told me that yes, I’ll be the first line Center from my first game. But it doesn’t mean to much. We are a talented bunch with a lot of depth and I’m going to have to earn my stripes every time I take to the ice. Also, am I nervous? I think anyone in my position would be lieing if they said they wasn’t nervous. However, this is what I was put on the planet to do. I am a hockey player and I am more excited than nervous”.

Interviewer: “Good luck!”

KIRBSSON: “Thanks. Have fun watching the game. Let’s hope we bring home the W’s!”.
