Svoboda Disappointed Not to Make Team Scandinavia

Recommended Posts

Pat Svoboda, who reportedly was looking forward to partaking international hockey, seemed to be playing with a chip on his shoulder at Davos training camp after just missing the final cup. When asked about it, Svoboda made this comment, "I'm very upset not to make it; on Western Europe, for instance, I would've made it, but I have to play for Team Scandinavia. Obviously I love Sweden, but I'm very offended to be passed over as a 444 TPE player, and if the coaches don't appreciate my talent, then I don't feel so much allegiance. Scandinavia didn't even do so well, so I suppose I get the last laugh, they're missing out, but it still feels wrong not being there representing my country. I'm taking numbers here at training camp; I'm just angry about how my career is unfolding and I feel like I just want to hurt some people. The way I'm feeling, I won't be surprised if I end up getting a suspension from the Department of Player Safety half way through the preseason. Watch my checking rating rise; it's safe to say I've had enough. All I got to say is, opposing teams better keep their head up every time I'm on the ice."
