Previous talks during the scouting combine had been positive with GM ShawnGlade. It seemed like he wanted to bring him in and the legacy left behind from Davey Jones and things were going well. The team was in need of a defender and they knew that it was a match made in heaven. The draft came around and Dallas had heard his name called to go to the Davos Dynamo and he was beyond excited. The excitement seemed to have fizzled out when Dallas got a call from his agent and things would take a turn for the worst. It seemed as if there was some sort of trust issue that had gone down and then next thing talked about was a trade. Dallas was on the block and that is when Calgary made the phone call and offered a first rounder from Helsinki for the young defender.
