Tonight we’ll be taking a closer look at 3 of the upcoming draftees for the 66th VHL Season draft. The three individuals we’ll be examining all joined the league right around the same time in mid February, making them all free agents just before the start of the season, each took a different route, but have found success in their own organizations. There is a good chance we’ll see all three of these players in the playoffs at the end of the season. It should be exciting to see how these guys keep developing through the remainder of the season to hopefully put their team ahead of the rest so they can raise that elusive Founder’s Cup.

Kyle Sabertooth  Joined 2/18

@uphillmoss | TPE: 157
LW | 6' 2" | 230 lb. | Age: 19 | US.png | LVA-square.png

He’s the leading point scorer of the three highlighted players coming in at 25 goals, 32 assists, for a total of 57 points. He’s been on a bit of a dry spell lately, not registering a point in his last two showings, but if we know anything about Sabertooth, its that nothing keeps him from finding the back of the net for long. The kid has a 14.285% shot percentage and has four game winning goals to his name so far on the season.  This left-winger has shown he has what it takes to make it in the VHL and will certainly be an asset for seasons to come to whichever team is lucky enough to find this player in this deeeeeep S66 draft class. Uphillmoss has certainly made a name for himself around the league and with his involvement with the VSN and podcasting it's evident that he'll be around for the long haul. Latest Podcast Shoutout!

Ludvig Sederstrom Joined 2/20

@aleks | TPE: 163
C | 6' 5" | 165 lb. | Age: 17 | SE.png | HOU.png.c63c99609f2d60f007072a351f94e169

The kid can pass and that’s the reason he’s bringing the most assists to the table out of the three rookies we are looking at, with an impressive 35 assists over his 56 games played so far this season. He hasn’t been the scoring threat we know he’s capable of, but that’s only a matter of time. He has 13 goals so far on the season bringing him spitting distance of Sabertooth at 48 points. Three games back Ludvig registered a whopping 4 points on the night and won north of .500 in the faceoff circle, hot nights like that will put him even closer to Kyle Sabertooth in points. Aleks is a consistent as the day is long when it comes to earning TPE and there is no reason for me to believe these trends won't continue throughout Ludvig's future career here in the VHL.

Bert Meyers Joined 2/19

@RunnerBert11 TPE: 191
LW | 6' 1" | 175 lb. | Age: 20 | US.png | OSL-square.png

Bert Meyers is trailing the pack in both assists and points with 19 assists and 37 points. He doesn’t have an overly impressive tally count in the goals column either at 18. Don’t let the season figures throw you though, he’s amassed 5 of those goals and 5 of those assists in his last 6 games and is currently on a 4 game 7 point streak. Meyers came into the league with ambitions of being a sniping left winger, but after Minnesota’s early seasons struggles and lack of faceoff talent, he switched gears to fill the teams needs take to the dot. He’s now officially changed his position to C and is winning faceoffs like he’s been doing this for years. Even though he’s switched his focus to center, Bert Meyers is still quite the scoring threat when he decides to let the puck go, touting the highest shot percentage of the group at 15.385%. RunnerBert11 has been a TPE hound and has been capping since he came aboard and there's no reason his involvement in the league should dwindle anytime soon.
