The 18 year old Chico Smeb, son of VHLer Chico Salmon joined the VHLM after the draft. He decided to sign with MIN as it was his best chance to win a cup. At first, Chico had low expectations, and was happy just to make the team on the 3rd line. Now with his skills developing quickly, he's looking like he's on the way to becoming a future all-star in the VHL. His development has skyrocketed since signing with Minnesota after working hard off the ice to improve his game. Let's take a look at some of this player's strengths and weaknesses as we are quickly approaching the VHL S66 Draft date.

Strengths

Passing

This was Chico's biggest strength before signing in the VHLM. He was known to be a great play-maker. Since signing he's improved this skill even more-so becoming one of the best depth playmakers in the VHLM. He wants to mould his game after NHL player Mitch Marner. Although he still has quite a way to go he's on the right track and keeps improving week after week.

Scoring

Surprisingly this is now one of Chico's strengths after not focusing on it at all pre-VHLM. Chico entered the VHLM with just a 50 attribute in this stat, but has worked hard on it all season long as his teammates on the 3rd line have always been pass-first players as well. Chico has kind of forced himself to be more a scorer, which in turn has made him both a great passer and goal scorer as well. Look for Chico to be one of the top scoring players in the VHLM next season once we gets more play-time.

Skating

Although Chico is a big man, he's a smooth skater. One of the best skating big men in the VHLM actually, and only getting better. Chico drives his line skating with the puck a lot. He controls the play well along the boards with his quik feet and powerful skating. Not only that, but he's also a great skater away from the puck.

Weaknesses

Checking

Something that Chico needs to work on big time. He's a big man, but soft as they come with only a 40 in hitting attribute. If he's going to be a powerforward in the VHL someday, he needs to be more aggressive and use his size in the corners. He looks afraid out there to use his body, similar to Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Teammate

Chico is a pretty poor teammate to be honest. He cares more about personal stats than his team winning. One thing Chico needs to work on is just becoming a better team player. He likes to complain a lot if he's not getting what he thinks he deserves. He needs to be more humble for sure or it will hurt his draft stock.

Discipline

This is a weird one, as Chico is clearly afraid to use his body in the corners. With that being said, Chico is still do undisciplined out there. Mostly taking penalties with his sticks, high sticking, slashing, and hooking is a problem for him. If his coach is going to trust him in the top 6, he needs to work more on his discipline heading into the playoffs.

Spoiler

Is that Anson Carter?

Great formatting. You're one of the few I've seen observe the rule of word count.

Take a look at your text size, its a bit inconsistent in places.

The first line of your bio says he picked his team based on the fact that he wants to win the cup, and has developed up through a third line player. Don't typically see any of that in someone selfish.

Maybe slap a summary on here, but otherwise looks pretty good.
