If I recall correctly, the Riga Reign have the highest overall rating of all VHL teams. This is due largely in part to their high-TPE stars Podrick Cast, Edwin Preencarnacion, and Ryan Kastelic. You might look at their 6-1-1 record to start S66 and point out that their overall rating is indeed indicative of team performance, but then you might notice that the aforementioned stars driving this high rating are actually basically doing fuck-all.

After today's sim, Kastelic took top billing in the Reign's scoring, but this only came very recently, as the defenseman picked up 5 points in his last three games. Cast and Preencarnacion currently sit 5th and 6th in team scoring, respectively, behind the likes of Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Gucci Garrop, both of whom have less than half the TPE of either of the two star forwards.

If Riga is going to continue their strong start to the year, they're going to need to get some more production out of their highest cap-hit players. Here's hoping that Kastelic's recent surge is an indication of things to come for Preencarnacion and Cast.

Finally, I would be remiss to not mention Kallis Kriketers in net, who seems to be doing his job well at just shy of 900 TPE and stopping pucks like crazy to start the year. That's a first, eh @hedgehog337?
