To say Julian Borwinn has lived to expectations thus far really comes down to where your expectations stem from. After a hot start in his only VHLM season which saw Borwinn amass 87 points (45 G / 42 A) the expectation from his peers were generally high. In his first VHL season with The Helsinki Titans, Borwinn took instantly to the score-sheet with 84 points (42 G / 42 A).  The self proclaimed 'play-maker' ironically broke the 40 goal mark and appeared to be an instant success. Year two Borwinn experienced a bit of the sophomore slump but in all honesty played into his archetype scoring 28 goals and adding 43 helpers. For argument sake Borwinn did play a lot less ice time per game as a 2nd liner that season. Season three saw Borwinn return to Mr. even keel with 36 goals and 39 assists. Thus far in season 66, Borwinn has 24 goals and 27 assists for 51 points through just 38 games; a pace that could find Julian near the 100 point mark. Helsinki sits atop the league standings with a 29-8-1 record; eight points clear of the 2nd place Riga Reign.
