Michael Johnson can’t seem to get it going when he’s starting games. Thorvald started 5+ games in a row due to this. Michael did relieve Thorvald a few times and looked incredible off the bench. Although, when Michael has been starting his games, he’s been absolutely lackluster.

Against the last placed Houston Bulls, Michael let in 4 goals on 19 shots for 15 saves. This leaves his save percentage at 0.789 which has brought his record at 5-5-1. If stats told a story, it would be that Michael has been carried by the rest of his team.

I caught up with Johnson real quik to get a quik gauge on his thoughts on this.

“I need to get into the game quicker. It seems like right now I’m letting the nerves get to me and it’s apparent that my pre-game ritual isn’t working as well. I’ve been talking to the leaders in the locker room and coaches and they’re all helping me work on being consistent on the ice”
