Saskatoon opens goalie camp in search of starting goaltender!

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN -- The Saskatoon Wild have a decent roster put together and while it's nothing impressive by any stretch of the means, it is a roster competitive enough to be a playoff team when the season ends - assuming, of course, rosters were static and never changed; unfortunately, despite having a great top defensive paring and a potent top offensive unit, the Wild lack any form of talented goaltending you'd need to be a true contender. 

"We need a goalie," Peace blatantly stated. "So we've opened up a goalie camp in search of one. Come one, come all, it's a turkey shoot and we're hoping to snag someone who's up to the task of being Saskatoon's number one netminder!" 

Saskatoon has always started the season with a true number one goaltender, from the likes of career VHLM netminder Kevin Weekes to championship goaltender Brick Wahl and all the Justin Cole's and Juan Juandice's in between. In fact, Saskatoon held Juandice's contract for a lengthy one hundred and forty four games, where the goaltender posted an impressive 84-50-10 record with a mixture of Saskatoon rosters - from a rebuilding team one season to a cup contender the next.

But now Saskatoon doesn't have a goaltender to their name - not one - and they're desperate enough to open up a camp for potential goaltenders in hopes they'll find someone to take the reigns. They might have to start the season without a goalie though, in which case a league mandated backup will fill in the gap until GM Peace can find one, but for now it remains Saskatoon's biggest hole and they're about to be bleeding potential wins without it filled.
